I wanted to thank VITAS for the care you gave to my mom, Patty May. Your staff is wonderful! They answered all of our questions and listened to our stories. You have an amazing team of people who made Mom's passing so much easier. Thank you from my heart.

My mother's care was truly the best care we could have ever asked for. One of the VITAS nurses, Sherry, stood out to me and because of her, I can carry on. She was so open & honest in response to our questions. I look at her as a guardian angel who helped us so very much. My mother was very well taken care of and I would recommend VITAS to everyone, if they find themselves in need of hospice care. God bless all of you who help the dying and their families!

On April 12th, my father was brought home from the hospital and placed under VITAS hospice care. Our family could not have made a better decision and my father made his decision to trust his last days into your care. We asked for a full comfort care nurse on Sunday, April 16th. Christina, of the intensive Comfort Care unit (Pamela Williams is her supervisor), stepped into our lives. When she arrived, she quickly assessed our case and asked for a full Comfort Care nurse, but she informed us none were available. She took it upon herself to be with our family. She went above and beyond, driving in the storm to fill a morphine prescription on Easter Sunday! She stayed with my family the entire evening when no one else could. She walked my mother, sister, and I through the evening of medicating my father to keep him calm and peaceful. She helped to clean and dress him. It was the best he had looked in years! We could not have gone through this process without her. THANK YOU and please thank Christina.

I went in for orientation to become a volunteer to help hospice patients the class and the people were so friendly and professional. I really learned a lot about my job duties as a volunteer. This is an amazing organization.

While my husband was at VITAS, he had some of the most caring and respectful nurses anyone could ever want. They were excellent and great and explained everything to him. They explained anything and everything to us and were friendly, very nice, and very caring. They made it a very comfortable transition for my husband. The staff is wonderful. I liked each and every one of them so much, and they were excellent. Though my husband couldn't eat, they offered me nourishment anyway. And that's when I thought they went way beyond their call just to give my husband excellent services; they treated me excellently too.
