Admissions Nurse, RN
VITAS admissions nurses are our patients and families' first introduction to the quality end-of-life care that VITAS provides. The admissions nurse's primary responsibility is to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in appropriate hospice admissions. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in acute or sub-acute care and a current state of California RN license.
Bereavement Services Manager
The VITAS bereavement services manager provides expertise and skill in bereavement program management through strategic planning, coordination of services, staff and volunteer bereavement training, and assisting the interdisciplinary team with the delivery of bereavement services.
Registered Nurse (RN)
The VITAS home-care RN is responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for our patients and families and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse and a current state of California RN license.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The VITAS LPN evaluates the needs of patients and families and provides direct skilled bedside nursing care to our patients according to the plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience and a current state of California LPN license.
Social Worker, MSW
The VITAS social worker supports the psychosocial well-being of our patients and families by defining social service goals for alleviating problems, and providing the counseling and casework needed to meet these goals. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of social service experience in a health-care setting or social service agency and a master of social work degree.
Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
The VITAS certified home health aide (CHHA) provides personal care and services to VITAS patients to augment the care given by family members. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience and a current certification.
