Patient Care Administrator (RN)
The VITAS patient care administrator oversees the clinical and financial operations of the multi disciplinary staff and ensures care is provided to the ultimate satisfaction of patients and their families ensuring clinical appropriateness and quality of patient care according to Medicare regulation. Qualified candidates must have four years of management and two years of home health experience and a current registered nurse license.
Registered Nurse (RN)
The VITAS RN is responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for our patients and families and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse and a current registered nurse license.
VITAS admissions nurses are our patients and families' first introduction to the quality end-of-life care that VITAS provides. The admissions nurse's primary responsibility is to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in appropriate hospice admissions. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse and a current registered nurse license.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The VITAS LPN evaluates the needs of patients and families and provides direct skilled bedside nursing care to our patients according to the plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience and a current LPN license.
Home Health Aide (HHA)
VITAS home health aides (HHAs) are certified home health aides (CHHAs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) who provide hands-on care to our patients, providing personal care and sometimes assisting with light housekeeping and shopping. Qualified candidates must have at least one (1) year of direct patient-care experience and a CNA certification.
